Le Löwchen ou le Petit Lion-Chien est une race de chien. Un petit chien, ils sont considérés par certains registres comme un chien de jouet et par l'American Kennel Club comme un chien non sportif. Le Löwchen avait une fois la distinction douteuse, comme le Water Dog portugais et le Havanese, d'être le chien le plus rare au monde. En 1973, il n'y avait que 65 exemples enregistrés de la race. Même aujourd'hui, la race a généralement moins de quelques centaines d'enregistrements nouveaux chaque année dans le monde entier.
