Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd était un groupe de rock anglais qui a obtenu une acclamation internationale avec leur musique progressive et psychédélique. Distingués par leur utilisation de paroles philosophiques, d'expérimentation sonore et de spectacles en direct élaborés, ils sont l'un des groupes les plus prospères et les plus influents sur le plan musical dans l'histoire de la musique populaire. Fondée en 1965, Pink Floyd était à l'origine composé d'étudiants Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters et Richard Wright. Ils ont d'abord gagné en popularité dans la scène musicale souterraine de Londres à la fin des années 1960 et, sous la direction créative de Barrett, ils ont sorti deux singles de fondation et un album de succès. David Gilmour s'est joint en cinquième membre en décembre 1967; Barrett a quitté le groupe en avril 1968 en raison de sa détérioration de la santé mentale. If you look in my CD case, you'll see it's Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, now I can't think of anyone else, but all that stuff.

I don't know, when I was a kid, when I would see shows that changed my life, I would go to see shows where there was my mother taking us to see classic rock concerts, like Zeppelin, or when I saw Pink Floyd or when I saw, you know, when I was a little older, and I saw Nine Inch Nails, and I saw The Cure.
There are so many ingredients that are contained in 'The Wall' that were not necessarily contained in other Pink Floyd records, particularly following on from 'Animals,' which was very spare and sparse. Production on it was much more massive, the complexity of the recording was much more intense.
