Psychométrie
La psychométrie est le domaine d'étude concerné par la théorie et la technique de la mesure psychologique. Une partie du domaine concerne la mesure objective des compétences et des connaissances, des capacités, des attitudes, des traits de personnalité et des résultats scolaires. Par exemple, la recherche psychométrique s'est préoccupée de la construction et de la validation d'instruments d'évaluation tels que les questionnaires, les tests, les jugements des évaluateurs et les tests de personnalité. Une autre partie du domaine concerne la recherche statistique portant sur la théorie des mesures. Ainsi, la psychométrie implique deux tâches de recherche majeures: la construction d'instruments et de procédures de mesure; Et le développement et le perfectionnement des approches théoriques de mesure. Ceux qui pratiquent la psychométrie sont appelés psychométriques. Tous les psychométriques possèdent une qualification psychométrique spécifique, et bien que la plupart soient des psychologues formés aux cycles avancés dans les tests psychométriques.
