Nerf sciatique
Le nerf sciatique est un grand nerf chez les humains et d'autres animaux. Il commence dans le bas du dos et court à travers la fesse et le bas du membre inférieur. C'est le nerf unique le plus long et le plus large du corps humain, passant du haut de la jambe au pied sur l'aspect postérieur. Le nerf sciatique fournit presque toute la peau de la jambe, les muscles du dos de la cuisse et ceux de la jambe et du pied. Il est dérivé des nerfs spinaux L4 à S3. Il contient des fibres des divisions antérieure et postérieure du plexus lombosacré.
