En sociologie et en études culturelles, une sous-culture est un groupe de personnes dans une culture qui se différencie de la plus grande culture à laquelle elles appartiennent. Le terme sous-culture est devenu obsolète chez certains chercheurs, qui préfèrent le terme «co-culture», afin d'éviter les connotations d'infériorité associées au préfixe «sous-». Bien que les définitions exactes varient, le Oxford English Dictionary définit le terme «un groupe culturel au sein d'une culture plus large, ayant souvent des croyances ou des intérêts en contradiction avec ceux de la plus grande culture». In sociology, and cultural studies, a subculture is a group of people within a culture that differentiates themselves from the larger culture to which they belong. The term subculture has become deprecated among some researchers, who prefer the term co-culture, in order to avoid the connotations of inferiority associated with the "sub-" prefix. While exact definitions vary, the Oxford English Dictionary defines the term as "a cultural group within a larger culture, often having beliefs or interests at variance with those of the larger culture."...
