The Sun Dance est une cérémonie pratiquée par certains peuples autochtones d'Amérique du Nord et du Canada, principalement ceux des cultures des plaines. Après avoir contacté les colons européens et avec la formation du Canada et des États-Unis, les deux pays ont créé des lois interdisant les cérémonies et même interdit aux peuples autochtones de parler leurs langues maternelles.
