Acide tungstique
L'acide tungstique se réfère à des formes hydratées de trioxyde de tungstène, WO3. La forme la plus simple, le monohydrate, est WO3 · H2O, le dihydrate WO3 · 2H2O est également connu. La structure à l'état solide de WO3 · H2O se compose de couches d'unités WO5 coordonnées octaèdrement où 4 sommets sont partagés. Le dihydrate a la même structure de couche avec la molécule d'H2O supplémentaire intercalée entre les couches. Le monohydrate est un solide jaune et insoluble dans l'eau. Le nom classique de cet acide est «acide de wolfram». L'acide a été découvert pour la première fois par Carl Wilhelm Scheele en 1781.
