Upanishads
Les Upanishads sont une collection de textes védiques qui contiennent l'émergence la plus ancienne de certains des concepts religieux centraux de l'hindouisme, du bouddhisme et du jainisme. Ils sont également connus sous le nom de Vedanta. Les Upanishads sont considérés par les Hindous comme contenant des vérités révélées concernant la nature de la réalité ultime et décrivant le caractère et la forme du salut humain. Les Upanishads se retrouvent principalement dans la partie finale des Brahmanas et Aranyakas et ont été transmis en tradition orale. Plus de 200 Upanishads sont connus, dont la première douzaine sont les plus anciennes et les plus importantes et sont appelés les Upanishads principaux ou principaux. Les Muguya Upanishads sont tous antérieurs à l'ère commune, éventuellement de la période pré-bouddhiste jusqu'à la période de Maurya.
