QUE SIGNIFIE WORKFARE EN ANGLAIS
Workfare
Workfare est un modèle alternatif pour les systèmes conventionnels de protection sociale. Le terme a été introduit par le chef des droits civiques James Charles Evers en 1968; Cependant, il a été popularisé par Richard Nixon dans un discours télévisé d'août 1969. Les systèmes traditionnels d'avantages sociaux sont généralement attribués en fonction de certaines conditions, comme la recherche de travail, ou en fonction des critères de réunion qui placeraient le destinataire comme indisponible pour chercher un emploi ou être Employé. Dans le cadre du travail, les bénéficiaires doivent satisfaire à certaines exigences de participation pour continuer à recevoir leurs prestations sociales. Ces exigences sont souvent une combinaison d'activités destinées à améliorer les perspectives d'emploi du bénéficiaire et celles qui sont désignées comme contribuant à la société. Ces programmes, maintenant communs en Australie, au Canada et au Royaume-Uni, ont suscité beaucoup de débats et de controverses. Aux Pays-Bas, workfare est connu sous le nom «Travail d'abord», basé sur le programme Wisconsin Works des États-Unis.
