Xx est une lettre combinée qui n'est pas utilisée dans l'alphabet turc. Le larynx de la gorge est un léger son H terne. La prononciation des mots Xal, Xala, Xoroz en turc est un exemple de valeurs sonores correctes. Dans certaines langues, c'est un peu plus difficile et sifflant que le son H normal. Le grec, le kurde, le lazar et l'azéri sont utilisés pour faire une voix lyrique comme HI en arabe. Il a la même valeur sonore que la lettre Х dans l'alphabet cyrillique. La lettre X est utilisée dans Tatarcada et Azerice dans l'alphabet turc. C'est une gorge H de la gorge. Normal H vibre au sommet de la gorge alors qu'il part sans aucune obstruction. C'est l'une des lettres officielles de l'Azerbaïdjan. Il est fréquemment rencontré dans les dialectes anatoliens internes et orientales. Par exemple: La prononciation du verbe Baxmax est sous la forme de Baḥmaḥ, mais la lettre h dans la veine est enlevée d'une manière forte et lancinante.

Yunanca, Kürtçe, Lazca ve Azericede tıpkı Arapçadaki Hı gibi bir gırtlak sesini çıkarmak için kullanılır. Kiril Alfabesindeki Х harfi ile aynı ses değerine sahiptir. X harfi Türk alfabeleri içerisinde Tatarcada ve Azericede kullanılır. Boğazdan gelen gırtlaksı bir H sesidir. Normal H sesi hiçbir engele takılmadan çıkarken bu ses boğazın üst kısmında titreşir. Azericenin resmî harflerinden birisidir. İç ve Doğu Anadolu ağızlarında sıklıkla rastlanır. Örneğin: Baxmax fiilinin okunuşu Baḥmaḥ şeklindedir ancak kelimenin içindeki h harfleri gırtlaktan ve hırıltılı olarak çıkartılır.
