CHE SIGNIFICA CALCINATION IN INGLESE
Calcinazione
La calcinazione è un processo di trattamento termico in presenza di aria o di ossigeno applicato alle minerali e agli altri materiali solidi per ottenere una decomposizione termica, una transizione di fase o la rimozione di una frazione volatile. Il processo di calcinazione avviene normalmente a temperature inferiori al punto di fusione dei materiali del prodotto. La calcina- zione non è lo stesso processo della torrefazione. Nella torrefazione, si verificano più complesse reazioni gas-solide tra l'atmosfera del forno e il solido.
