Casuistry / kæʒuːɨstri /, o il ragionamento basato su fattispecie, è un metodo nell'etica applicata e nella giurisprudenza, spesso caratterizzata come una critica di ragionamento principio o di regola. La parola "casuistry" deriva dal casus latino. La casistica è ragionamento utilizzato per risolvere i problemi morali estraendo o estendendo le regole teoriche da particolari istanze e applicando queste regole a nuove istanze.
