Coopetition o Co-opetition è un neologismo coniato per descrivere la concorrenza cooperativa. La coopetizione è un sostenitore della cooperazione e della concorrenza. I principi fondamentali delle strutture co-educative sono state descritte nella teoria dei giochi, un campo scientifico che ha ricevuto più attenzione con il libro Teoria dei Giochi e Comportamento Economico nel 1944 e le opere di John Forbes Nash su giochi non cooperativi. Viene applicato anche nei settori della scienza politica e dell'economia e persino a livello universale. La coopetione si verifica quando le aziende interagiscono con parziale congruità di interessi. Collaborano tra loro per raggiungere una creazione di valore più elevata rispetto al valore creato senza interazione e lotta per ottenere un vantaggio competitivo. Spesso la coopetizione avviene quando le aziende che si trovano sullo stesso mercato lavorano insieme nell'esplorazione della conoscenza e della ricerca di nuovi prodotti, allo stesso tempo in cui competono per la quota di mercato dei loro prodotti e nello sfruttamento delle conoscenze create. In questo caso, le interazioni si verificano simultaneamente e in diversi livelli della catena del valore.
