Un veicolo di ripresa o un'autovettura aziendale è un veicolo che le aziende o le organizzazioni affittano o che posseggono e quali dipendenti utilizzano per il loro viaggio personale e aziendale. Ci sono tre ragioni principali che spiegano perché la fornitura di un'autovettura aziendale per uso privato come beneficio può essere attraente sia per il dipendente che per il datore di lavoro. La prima ragione è che le aziende possono fornire il margine di franchigia a costi inferiori a quello che il dipendente è in grado di realizzare da solo - e di conseguenza passarlo al dipendente. In secondo luogo, il sistema fiscale può incoraggiare la fornitura di automobili in remunerazione monetaria dal punto di vista del datore di lavoro e del dipendente. In terzo luogo, le imprese potrebbero desiderare che il dipendente guidasse in una vettura di un certo livello minimo o abbia accesso ad un veicolo adatto in ogni momento. L'uso di auto aziendali è diffuso in alcune regioni. Ad esempio, le registrazioni di imprese rappresentano circa il 50% di tutte le vendite di automobili nell'UE, in gran parte dovute alle norme fiscali che forniscono alle imprese un forte incentivo a fornire il beneficio.

A take-home vehicle, or company car is a vehicle which companies or organisations lease or own and which employees use for their personal and business travel. There are three main reasons which explain why the provision of a company car for private use as a benefit may be attractive for both the employee and the employer. The first reason is that companies can supply the fringe benefit at lower costs than the employee is able to achieve on their own – and consequently pass it on to the employee. Secondly, the tax system may encourage the provision of cars over monetary remuneration from the perspective of both the employer and employee. Thirdly, firms may want the employee to drive in a car of certain minimum standard or have access to a suitable vehicle at all times. The use of company cars is widespread in some regions. For example, business registrations account for roughly 50% of all car sales in the EU, largely due to taxation rules which give companies a strong incentive to provide the benefit.
