Contrattura
Una contrattura muscolare è un accorciamento permanente di un muscolo o di un giunto. Di solito è in risposta alla spasticità ipertonica prolungata in una zona muscolare concentrata, come si vede nei muscoli più stretti di persone con condizioni come la paralisi cerebrale spastica. Le contratture sono essenzialmente muscoli o tendini che sono rimasti troppo stretti per troppo tempo, diventando così più corti.
