Dialettica
La dialettica è un metodo di argomento per risolvere il disaccordo che è stato centrale della filosofia europea e indiana fin dall'antichità. La parola dialettica è nata dall'antica Grecia ed è stata resa popolare da Platone nei dialoghi socratici. Il metodo dialettico è il discorso tra due o più persone che dispongono di punti di vista diversi su un soggetto che desidera stabilire la verità della materia guidata da argomenti ragionati. Il termine dialettica non è sinonimo del termine dibattito. Mentre in teoria i debatatori non sono necessariamente emotivamente investiti nel loro punto di vista, in pratica i debitori spesso mostrano un impegno emotivo che può cloud giudizio razionale. I dibattiti vengono vinti attraverso una combinazione di persuasione dell'avversario; Dimostrando il proprio argomento corretto; O dimostrare che l'argomento dell'avversario non è corretto. I dibattiti non necessitano necessariamente di identificare prontamente un vincitore o un perdente chiaro; Tuttavia i vincitori chiari sono spesso determinati da un giudice, da una giuria o da un consenso di gruppo. Il termine dialettica non è sinonimo anche con il termine retorico, un metodo o un'arte di discorso che cerca di persuadere, informare o motivare un pubblico.
