Timor Est
Timor orientale i / ˌiːst tiːmɔr / o Timor-Leste / timɔr lɛʃteɪ /, ufficialmente la Repubblica democratica di Timor-Leste, è un paese dell'Asia sudorientale. Comprende la metà orientale dell'isola di Timor, le isole vicine di Atauro e Jaco e Oecusse, un'esclave sul lato nord-occidentale dell'isola, all'interno del Timor occidentale indonesiano. La dimensione del paese è di circa 15.410 km2. Timor Est fu colonizzato dal Portogallo nel XVI secolo e fu conosciuto come Timor portoghese fino alla decolonizzazione del paese.
