CHE SIGNIFICA ERGATIVE IN INGLESE
definizione di ergative nel dizionario inglese
La prima definizione di ergativo nel dizionario è denotare un tipo di verbo che assume lo stesso nome dell'oggetto diretto o come soggetto, con significato equivalente. Quindi, "fuse" è un verbo ergativo: "Ha fuso le luci" e "Le luci fuse" hanno un significato equivalente. Un'altra definizione di ergativo è denotare un caso di nomi in alcune lingue, ad esempio Inuktitut o Basco, che indicano un nome usato in modo intercambiabile come l'oggetto diretto di un verbo transitivo o il soggetto di un verbo intransitivo. Ergativo denota anche un linguaggio con verbi ergativi o nomi ergativi.
