Una hagiografia / ˌhæɡiɒɡrəfi / è una biografia di un santo o di un leader ecclesiastico. Tuttavia, quando si fa riferimento a opere moderne e non ecclesiastiche, il termine "agiografia" viene spesso usato come riferimento peggiorativo a biografie e storie i cui autori sono percepiti come non critici o reverenti al loro soggetto.
