Inoculazione
L'inoculazione è un metodo storico per la prevenzione del vaiolo da parte della deliberata introduzione nella pelle del materiale da pustole di vaiolo. Ciò ha generato generalmente un'infezione meno grave che il vaiolo naturalmente acquisito, ma ha ancora indotto l'immunità ad essa.
