Listeria
Listeria è un genere di batteri che contiene dieci specie. Nominato dopo il pioniere inglese di sterile chirurgia Joseph Lister, il genere ha ricevuto il suo nome attuale nel 1940. Le specie di Listeria sono facoltativamente anaerobiche, bacilli gram-positivi. Il principale patogeno umano nel genere Listeria è L. monocytogenes.
