CHE SIGNIFICA PROTOLANGUAGE IN INGLESE
Proto-lingua
Un proto-linguaggio nel modello di albero della linguistica storica è un linguaggio - di solito ipotetico o ricostruito e inatteso - da cui si ritiene che un certo numero di documenti attestati o documentati e conosciuti abbiano discenduto per evoluzione o una modica modifica della proto- Lingua in lingue che formano una famiglia di lingue. In senso stretto, un proto-linguaggio è l'ultimo antenato comune di una famiglia di linguaggi e corrisponde perciò all'ultimo antenato comune della biologia, sebbene il termine viene spesso usato in maniera più libera. Inoltre, un gruppo di idiomi che non sono considerati linguaggi separati possono anche essere descritti come discendenti da un proto-linguaggio unitario. Occasionalmente, viene utilizzato invece il termine tedesco Ursprache.
