Samos
Samos è un'isola greca nel Mar Egeo orientale, a sud di Chios, a nord di Patmos e Dodecaneso, e fuori dalla costa dell'Asia Minore, da cui è separata dal Stretto di Mycale di 1,6 chilometri. È anche un'unità regionale separata della regione del Nord Egeo e l'unico comune dell'unità regionale. Negli antichi tempi Samos era una città-stato particolarmente ricca e potente, particolarmente nota per i suoi vigneti e la produzione di vino.
