Canale spinale
Il canale spinale è lo spazio nelle vertebre attraverso cui passa il midollo spinale. È un processo della cavità dorsale del corpo umano. Questo canale è racchiuso all'interno della foramina vertebrale delle vertebre. Negli spazi intervertebrali, il canale è protetto dal ligamentum flavum posteriormente e dal legamento longitudinale posteriore anteriormente. Lo strato più esterno dei meningi, la dura mater, è strettamente associato con l'arachnoide che a sua volta è leggermente connessa allo strato più interno dei meningi, il pia mater. Le meningi dividono il canale spinale nello spazio epidurale e nello spazio subarachnoide. Il mater pia è strettamente legato al midollo spinale. Uno spazio secondario è generalmente presente solo a causa di traumi e / o situazioni patologiche. Lo spazio subarachnoideo è riempito di liquido cerebrospinale e contiene le vasi che forniscono il midollo spinale, vale a dire l'arteria spinale anteriore e le arterie spinali posteriori accoppiate, accompagnate da corrispondenti vene spinali. Le arterie spinali formano anastomosi noti come vasocorona del midollo spinale.
