Sudoku i / suːdoʊkuː /, originariamente chiamato Number Place, è un puzzle di combinazione numerico basato sulla logica. L'obiettivo è quello di riempire una griglia 9 × 9 con cifre in modo che ogni colonna, ogni riga e ciascuna delle nove sottorete 3 × 3 che compongono la griglia contiene tutte le cifre da 1 a 9. Il set di puzzle fornisce un Griglia parzialmente completata, che per un puzzle ben posato ha una soluzione unica. I puzzle completati sono sempre un tipo di piazza latina con un vincolo aggiuntivo sul contenuto delle singole regioni.
