Il testo predittivo è una tecnologia di input utilizzata in cui un tasto o un pulsante rappresenta molte lettere, ad esempio sulle tastiere numeriche dei telefoni cellulari e nelle tecnologie di accessibilità. Ogni pressione di tasto porta a una predizione piuttosto che a sequenziare ripetutamente lo stesso gruppo di "lettere" che rappresenta, nello stesso ordine di invariabilità. Il testo predittivo potrebbe consentire l'inserimento di un'intera parola da un singolo tasto. I sistemi di testo più diffusi, generali e predittivi sono T9, iTap e LetterWise / WordWise. Ci sono molti modi unici per costruire un dispositivo che predice il testo, ma tutti i sistemi di testo predittivi dispongono di impostazioni iniziali e linguistiche che offrono le previsioni che vengono nuovamente assegnate a priorità per adattarsi a ciascun utente.
