In ortografia ebraica niqqud o nikkud è un sistema di segni diacritici utilizzati per rappresentare le vocali o distinguere tra pronunce alternative delle lettere dell'alfabeto ebraico. Diversi sistemi diacritici sono stati sviluppati nel Medioevo. Il sistema più diffuso, e l'unico ancora oggi utilizzato in misura significativa, è stato creato dai Masoreti di Tiberia nella seconda metà del primo millennio CE nella Terra d'Israele. Il testo scritto con niqqud si chiama ktiv menuqad. I segni di Niqqud sono piccoli rispetto alle consonanti, in modo da poter essere aggiunti senza ritrarre i testi i cui scrittori non li anticipavano. Nella moderna ortografia israeliana niqqud viene raramente utilizzato, ad eccezione di testi specializzati come dizionari, poesie o testi per bambini o per nuovi immigrati. A fini di disambiguazione, si è sviluppato un sistema di ortografia senza niqqud, noto in ebraico come ktiv maleh. Questo è stato formalmente standardizzato nelle regole per l'ortografia senza Niqqud emanato dall'Accademia della lingua ebraica nel 1996.
