Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl은 독일의 철학자로서 현상학 학교를 설립했습니다. 그는 당시의 과학과 철학의 실증 주의적 지향을 깨뜨 렸습니다. 그는 논리학에서 역사주의와 심리학에 대한 비판을 정교하게했다. 경험주의에 국한되지 않고 그 경험이 모든 지식의 원천이라고 믿는 그는 피험자가 직접 본질을 알게되는 현상 학적 감소의 방법을 연구했다. 유대인 가정에서 태어 났지만 후셀은 1886 년에 루터교 세례를 받았습니다. 칼 위어 슈트 라스 (Karl Weierstrass)와 레오 쾨니히 스 버거 (Leo Königsberger)의 수학과 프란츠 브렌 타노 (Franz Brentano)와 칼 스텀프 (Carl Stumpf)의 철학을 전공했습니다. Edmund Gustav Albrecht Husserl was a German philosopher who established the school of phenomenology. He broke with the positivist orientation of the science and philosophy of his day. He elaborated critiques of historicism and of psychologism in logic. Not limited to empiricism, but believing that experience is the source of all knowledge, he worked on a method of phenomenological reduction by which a subject may come to know directly an essence. Although born into a Jewish family, Husserl was baptized as a Lutheran in 1886. He studied mathematics under Karl Weierstrass and Leo Königsberger, and philosophy under Franz Brentano and Carl Stumpf. Husserl himself taught philosophy as a Privatdozent at Halle from 1887, then as professor, first at Göttingen from 1901, then at Freiburg from 1916 until he retired in 1928. Thereafter he gave two notable lectures: at Paris in 1929, and at Prague in 1935. The notorious 1933 race laws of the Nazi regime took away his academic standing and privileges. Following an illness, he died at Freiburg in 1938.
