셀레늄은 원자 34의 화학 원소, 화학 기호 Se, 원자 질량 78.96을 가지며 화학적으로 유황과 텔루르와 관련된 비금속 원소이며 자연계에서는 거의 발견되지 않습니다. 분리 된 셀레늄은 여러 가지 형태로 발견되며, 가장 안정한 형태는 밀도가 높은 회색 금속 구조의 삼각형 다각형의 세미 매트 형태입니다. 셀레늄은 빛보다 어두운 곳에서 전기를 방출하고 광합성에 사용됩니다. 셀레늄은 또한 흑색 알트로 틱 독서와 같은 많은 비 전도성 형태뿐만 아니라 유황원의 8 개 분자 분자에 기인 한 적색 결정의 일부 형태로 존재합니다. 셀레늄은 황화물과 같은 황화물 광석에서 발견되며, 셀레늄은 광석 기지의 일부 황을 대체합니다. 셀레늄 또는 셀렌 화합물의 형태로 미네랄이 있지만 드물게 발견됩니다. 오늘 셀레늄의 주요 용도는 화학 물질과 안료에 사용되는 유리뿐만 아니라 유리를 만드는 것입니다. Selenium은 전자 제품에도 널리 사용되고 있지만 실리콘 반도체 소자로 대체되고 있습니다.
