ओच्रामा पिरामिडेल, सामान्यतः बाल्सा वृक्ष म्हणून ओळखले जाते, माल्लो कुटुंबातील फुलांच्या वनस्पतीची एक प्रजाती आहे, मालवेसी हा एक मोठा, जलद-वाढणारा वृक्ष आहे जो उंच 30 मीटर पर्यंत वाढू शकतो. बाल्साची लाकडी बहुतेक उपयोगासह एक अतिशय हलक्याफुलित सामग्री आहे. बाल्साचे झाड दक्षिणी ब्राझील व उत्तरेकडील दक्षिणेकडचे उत्तरेकडील बोलीवियांचे मूळ आहेत.
