Ada yang percaya kepada kemungkinan Syurga di Bumi dalam Dunia yang Akan Datang. Kepercayaan lain adalah di Axis mundi atau pokok Dunia yang menghubungkan langit, dunia, dan dunia bawah tanah. Dalam agama India, Syurga dianggap sebagai Svarga loka, dan jiwa sekali lagi tertakluk kepada kelahiran semula dalam bentuk-bentuk hidup yang berbeza menurut karmanya. Kitaran ini boleh dipecahkan selepas jiwa mencapai Moksha atau Nirvana.
