Dalam biologi, imago adalah tahap terakhir yang dicapai oleh serangga semasa metamorfosisnya, proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya; ia juga dipanggil tahap imaginasi, tahap di mana serangga itu mencapai kematangan. Ia mengikuti ekdisis akhir instar yang tidak matang. Dalam anggota Ametabola atau Hemimetabola, di mana metamorfosis "tidak lengkap", ekdisis akhir mengikuti tahap belum dewasa atau nyamphal terakhir. Dalam ahli Holometabola, di mana terdapat peringkat pupal, ekdisis akhir mengikuti kemunculan dari pupa, selepas itu metamorfosis selesai, walaupun terdapat pematangan matang dalam beberapa spesies.
