albinisme ialah satu gangguan kongenital bercirikan ketidakhadiran lengkap atau separa pigmet pada kulit, rambut dan mata kerana ketidakhadiran atau kecacatan tirosinase, satu enzim yang mengandungi tembaga terlibat dalam pengeluaran melanin. Kebalaran disebabkan oleh pewarisan alel gen resesif dan diketahui menjejaskan kesemua vertebrat, termasuk manusia.
