Bolszewicy, pierwotnie bolszewicy lub bolszewicyjscy (rosyjscy: большевики, большевик (pojedynczy), IPA: wywodzący się z bol'shinstvo, "większość", dosłownie znacząca "jedna z większości") była frakcją marksistowskiej rosyjskiej socjaldemokratycznej Partia (RSDLP), która rozłączyła się od frakcji mieńszewików na zjeździe drugiej partii w 1903 roku. Bolszewicy stanowili największą frakcję w decydującym głosowaniu, stąd ich imię. W końcu stali się Komunistyczną Partią Związku Radzieckiego. Bolszewicy weszli do władzy w Rosji podczas rewolucji rosyjskiej w październiku 1917 r. I założyli Federacyjną Socjalistyczną Republikę Rosyjską, która później stała się głównym składnikiem Związku Sowieckiego w 1922 r. Bolszewicy, założeni przez Władimira Lenina i Aleksandra Bogdanov, była w 1905 r. Organizacją główną, składającą się głównie z robotników pod demokratyczną wewnętrzną hierarchią rządzoną zasadą demokratycznego nacjonalizmu, uważaną za przywódców rewolucyjnej klasy robotniczej Rosji. Ich przekonania i praktyki były często określane jako bolszewizm.
