Contango
Contango jest sytuacją, w której cena kontraktu terminowego towaru jest wyższa niż przewidywana cena spotowa. W sytuacji contango, hedgers lub arbitrageurs / spekulantów, są "gotowi zapłacić więcej za towary w pewnym momencie w przyszłości niż rzeczywistej oczekiwanej cenie towaru. Może to wynikać z chęci zapłaty płacenia za towar w przyszłości zamiast płacić koszty składowania i ponieść koszt zakupu towaru dzisiaj ". Odwrotna sytuacja na rynku contango jest znana jako zwykłe zacofanie. "Rynek jest" w tyle ", gdy cena kontraktu terminowego jest niższa od oczekiwanej przyszłej ceny spot dla określonego towaru.
