Entalpia
Enthalpy jest zdefiniowanym potencjałem termodynamicznym, oznaczonym literą "H", która składa się z wewnętrznej energii systemu plus iloczyn ciśnienia i objętości układu: Ponieważ entalpia, H, składa się z energii wewnętrznej, U, plus produktu ciśnienia i objętości układu, które są wszystkimi funkcjami stanu układu termodynamicznego, entalpia jest funkcją stanu.
