Ferrotypia
Tybetynę, znaną także jako melainotyp lub ferrotype, jest fotografią wykonaną przez utworzenie bezpośredniego dodatniego na cienkiej warstwie żelaza powleczonej ciemnym lakierem lub szkliwem i używanym jako nośnik emulsji fotograficznej. Typy zębów cieszyły się najszerszym zastosowaniem w latach sześćdziesiątych i sześćdziesiątych XIX w., Jednakże w połowie XX wieku zaczęto używać mniejszego środka i odrodziło się ono jako nowość. Portrety typu Tintype były początkowo produkowane w oficjalnym studiu fotograficznym, takim jak dagerotypy i inne wczesne fotografie, ale później najczęściej były robione przez fotografów pracujących w kabinach lub na świeżym powietrzu na targach i karnawałach, a także przez wędrownych fotografów chodników .
