Rubryka
Rubryka to słowo lub sekcja tekstu, które tradycyjnie zostało napisane lub wydrukowane w kolorze czerwonym. Słowo pochodzi od łacińskiego: rubrica, czyli czerwonej kredowej lub czerwonej kredy, pochodzącej ze średniowiecznych rękopisów oświetlonych od XIII wieku lub wcześniej. W nich użyto czerwonych liter, aby podkreślić początkowe stolicę, nagłówki sekcji i nazwy o znaczeniu religijnym, praktykę zwaną rubryfikacją, która była odrębnym etapem w produkcji rękopisu. Rubryka może również oznaczać czerwony tusz lub farbę używaną do produkcji rubryk lub pigmentu, który był używany. Pierwszą definicją rubryki w słowniku jest tytuł, nagłówek lub początkowa litera w książce, manuskrypcie lub sekcji kodu prawnego, szczególnie wydrukowane lub pomalowane czerwonym atramentem lub w podobny sposób. Inną definicją rubryki jest zbiór zasad postępowania lub procedury. Rubryka to także zbiór wskazówek dotyczących prowadzenia chrześcijańskich nabożeństw, często drukowanych na czerwono w modlitewniku lub mszale.
