Niepewność
Nieprzenoszalność polega na praktyce osłabienia grupy poprzez oddzielenie ich od głównego nurtu zwyczajem społecznym lub mandatem prawnym. Wyłączona grupa mogłaby być grupą, która nie zgodziła się na normy grupy wykluczającej, a historycznie obejmowała cudzoziemców, plemiona nomadów, przekleńców i przestępców, a także chorych na zakaźną chorobę. Może to być grupa, która nie zaakceptowała zmiany ceł wymuszonych przez określoną grupę. To wykluczenie było metodą karania osób łamiących prawo, a także chronionymi tradycyjnymi społeczeństwami przed infekcją od obcych i zarażonych. Członek grupy wykluczonej jest znany jako Untouchable. Termin ten jest często związany z leczeniem społeczności Dalit, uważanych za "zanieczyszczające" wśród mieszkańców Azji Południowej, ale termin ten był używany również dla innych grup, takich jak Burakumin z Japonii, Cagots w Europie lub Al-Akhdam w Jemenie. Niedopuszczalność została uznana za niezgodną z prawem w Indiach niepodległościowych, a Dalits znacznie upoważnieni, chociaż pewne uprzedzenia wobec nich są kontynuowane, zwłaszcza w wiejskich kieszeniach, które są zdominowane przez niektóre inne grupy kasty.
