Aposememtismo
O aposisotismo, talvez mais comumente conhecido no contexto da coloração de advertência, descreve uma família de adaptações antipredator onde um sinal de alerta está associado à falta de lucratividade de um item de presa para potenciais predadores. É uma forma de sinal de "publicidade". O sinal de aviso pode assumir a forma de cores visíveis, sons, odores ou outras características percebíveis. Os sinais aposemáticos são benéficos tanto para o predador quanto para a presa, o que evita possíveis danos.
