Em matemática e física, o centróide ou centro geométrico de uma região bidimensional é, informalmente, o ponto em que um recorte de papelão da região poderia ser perfeitamente equilibrado na ponta de um lápis, assumindo uma densidade uniforme e um gravitacional uniforme campo. Formalmente, o centróide de uma figura plana ou de uma forma bidimensional é a posição média aritmética de todos os pontos na forma. A definição se estende a qualquer objeto no espaço n-dimensional: o centroide é a posição média de todos os pontos em todas as direções das coordenadas. Enquanto em geometria, o termo barycenter é um sinônimo de "centroide", na física "barycenter" também pode significar o centro físico de massa ou o centro de gravidade, dependendo do contexto.
