Um col no sentido geográfico é um termo geomorfológico que se refere ao ponto mais baixo de uma crista montanhosa entre dois picos. Pode também ser chamado de entalhe, espaço ou sela, embora o último nome geralmente tenha um significado mais amplo e possa conter um passe de montanha. O auge de uma cimeira acima do seu maior col é efetivamente uma medida da proeminência de uma montanha, uma medida importante da independência de seu cume. Cols encontram-se na linha da bacia hidrográfica entre duas montanhas, muitas vezes em uma proeminente crista ou arête.
