Asthenopia ou cepa ocular é uma condição oftalmológica que se manifesta através de sintomas inespecíficos, como fadiga, dor nos olhos, visão turva, dor de cabeça e visão dupla ocasional. Os sintomas geralmente ocorrem após a leitura, trabalho em computador ou outras atividades próximas que envolvem tarefas visuais tediosas. Ao se concentrar em uma tarefa visualmente intensa, como focar continuamente em um livro ou monitor de computador, o músculo ciliar se aperta. Isso pode causar irritação e incômodo dos olhos. Dando aos olhos a chance de se concentrar em um objeto distante pelo menos uma vez por hora geralmente alivia o problema.
