Na música, uma oitava quinta ou dupla, abreviada 15ma, é o intervalo entre uma nota musical e outra com um quarto do comprimento de onda ou quadruplicar a frequência. A quarta harmônica, são duas oitavas. É referido como um décimo quinto, porque, na escala diatônica, há 15 notas entre elas se uma conta ambas as extremidades. Duas oitavas não fazem um décimo sexto, mas um décimo quinto. Em outros contextos, o termo duas oitavas provavelmente será usado. Por exemplo, se uma nota tiver uma frequência de 400 Hz, a nota a quinze acima é a 1600 Hz, e a nota a quinquagésimo abaixo é de 100 Hz.
