Os flatworms, ou Platyhelminthes, Plathelminthes ou plathelhelminths (do grego πλατύ, platy, que significa "flat" e ἕλμινς (root: ἑλμινθ-), helminth-, que significa worm) são um filo de bilaterian relativamente simples, não segmentado, de corpo macio invertebrados. Ao contrário de outros bilaterianos, eles são acoelomatos (sem cavidade corporal) e não possuem órgãos circulatórios e respiratórios especializados, o que os restringe a formas achatadas que permitem que o oxigênio e os nutrientes passem por seus corpos por difusão. A cavidade digestiva tem apenas uma abertura para a ingestão (ingestão de nutrientes) e a ingestão (remoção de resíduos não digeridos); Como resultado, o alimento não pode ser processado continuamente. Nos textos de zoologia tradicionais, Platyhelminthes são divididos em Turbellaria, que são na sua maioria animais não-parasitas, como planarianos, e três grupos inteiramente parasitas: Cestoda, Trematoda e Monogenea; No entanto, uma vez que os turbellarians já foram provados para não serem monofiléticos, esta classificação está agora obsoleta.
