Um gueto é parte de uma cidade em que vivem os membros de um grupo minoritário, especialmente por causa de pressão social, jurídica ou econômica. O termo foi usado originalmente em Veneza para descrever a parte da cidade a que os judeus eram restritos e segregados. A ghetto is a part of a city in which members of a minority group live, especially because of social, legal, or economic pressure. The term was originally used in Venice to describe the part of the city to which Jews were restricted and segregated.
