Harmônico
Uma harmônica de uma onda é uma freqüência componente do sinal que é um múltiplo inteiro da freqüência fundamental, ou seja, se a freqüência fundamental é f, os harmônicos têm freqüências 2f, 3f, 4f, ... etc. Os harmônicos possuem a propriedade que são todos periódicos na freqüência fundamental, portanto a soma dos harmônicos também é periódica a essa freqüência. As freqüências harmônicas são igualmente espaçadas pela largura da freqüência fundamental e podem ser encontradas adicionando repetidamente essa freqüência. Por exemplo, se a freqüência fundamental é de 25 Hz, as freqüências dos próximos harmônicos são: 50 Hz, 75 Hz, 100 Hz etc.
