Isomer
Na química, os isómeros são moléculas com a mesma fórmula molecular, mas diferentes estruturas químicas. Ou seja, os isômeros contêm o mesmo número de átomos de cada elemento, mas têm diferentes arranjos de seus átomos no espaço. Os isômeros não compartilham necessariamente propriedades semelhantes, a menos que também tenham os mesmos grupos funcionais. Existem muitas classes diferentes de isômeros, como isómeros posicionais, isómeros cis-trans e enantiómeros, etc. Existem duas formas principais de isomerismo: isomerismo estrutural e estereoisomerismo.
