Fuchsia excorticata, comumente conhecida como fúcsia de árvores, fúcsia da Nova Zelândia e por seu nome maori kōtukutuku, é uma árvore nativa da Nova Zelândia pertencente à família Onagraceae. É comumente encontrado em toda a Nova Zelândia e no extremo sul das Ilhas Auckland. Cresce do nível do mar até cerca de 1.000 m, particularmente ao lado de riachos e riachos. É facilmente reconhecido em seu ambiente nativo pela aparência característica de sua casca, que se caspa espontaneamente, pendurado em tiras de papel vermelho para mostrar uma casca pálida embaixo.
