O QUE SIGNIFICA LEXICALIZATION EM INGLÊS
Lexicalização
A Lexicalização é o processo de adicionar palavras, definir frases ou padrões de palavras para um idioma - isto é, adicionar itens ao léxico de um idioma. Isso pode ser simples, por exemplo, emprestar uma palavra de outro idioma, ou mais envolvido, como na tradução de empréstimo. Particularmente interessante da perspectiva da linguística histórica é o processo pelo qual as frases ad hoc se tornam definidas no idioma e, eventualmente, se tornam novas palavras. A Lexicalização contrasta com a gramática, e a relação entre os dois processos está sujeita a algum debate.
